Neville Stevens AO is Chairman of GTC (Global Trust Centre) Advisory Board. He left the Australian Public Serviced in 2001, after 30 years in a variety of senior positions in the Departments of Prime Minister & Cabinet, Industry and Communications, Information Technology & the Arts.
For the last ten years he was Secretary of initially the Industry Department and then the Communications, IT and the Arts Department.
Since leaving the Government Neville have provided advice to both government and the private sector on a range of issues, primarily in the fields of communications, IT and renewable energy. He is currently Chair of the Australian Communications Industry Forum ( ACIF); Chair of the Australian Centre for Advanced Computing and Communications ( AC3), Chair of the Governance Board oversighting Weapons acquisitions by the Australian Defence Forces; Chair of the National ICT Australia research centre ( NICTA) and Member of the Advisory Board for the ARC Centre of Excellence for Complex Systems.
Neville Stevens is the Officer in the Order of Australia and a recipient of the Centenary Medal.
