Annelies Moens is Head of Sales and Operations at Information Integrity Solutions Pty Ltd (IIS), having commenced in 2012. Annelies is responsible for driving global business growth and consolidating company operations.
Annelies co-founded the International Association of Privacy Professionals in Australia and New Zealand in 2008, a membership organisation for privacy professionals in the region. She currently is a Board Director serving as President, having previously held roles as Vice-President and Treasurer.
Prior to joining IIS, Annelies was the External Relations Manager at AustLII, the free-access online legal library operating as a charity. Annelies established the fundraising arm of the AustLII Foundation Limited and in 3.5 years raised over $4 million. In 2009, Annelies was awarded the Fundraising Institute of Australia's NSW Fundraiser of the Year.
Annelies has worked as the Chief Privacy Officer and Group Manager of Government and Education at the Copyright Agency Limited, where she led negotiation and sales teams in the government and education sector. Government and education portfolios represented 90% of the company's annual revenue of $100 million. Annelies also worked at the then Office of the Federal Privacy Commissioner during 2001-2006, where she managed compliance and audit teams as well as the privacy aspects of the introduction of biometrics into border control processes.
Annelies has an MBA in General International Management (distinction) from the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School in Belgium, a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelors of Science and Arts (majoring in computer science) from the University of Queensland and a Diploma in Fundraising Management from the Fundraising Institute of Australia. Annelies is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (Information Technology) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
